Retreat ParticipantsFAQs

  • Check in begins at 8:15 am. The retreat begins promptly at 9 am. Please arrive early to grab a seat and get settled.

  • Please do! We just ask that you RSVP in advance so we can keep track of how many participants plan on attending. Let us know about you, your child and where you are coming from!

  • Yes! We welcome friends from across the state, and those willing to travel. If you are ready to find support, even for just one day, this is for you!

  • As in any therapy session, You are welcome to bring anything of comfort to help you feel more nurtured in this environment. That means feel free to bring a cozy blanket, a lucky charm, a stuffy, or fidget toys. But absolutely bring a journal and an open heart and mind.

DRESS COMFORTABLY if you plan on attending yoga, getting a walk on the trail or getting any movement in!

  • Yes, unfortunately, we do require an RSVP to ensure we have enough chairs and other supplies we might need for activities!

We also ask that you cancel if you are not able to attend! This will open up spots for others who might have been added to the waitlist.

  • Yes, please cancel as far in advance if you have a RSVP and can no longer make it.

Failure to show to your RSVP without a cancellation or follow up due to medical emergency could cause you to be added to a waitlist for future events.

  • Group EMDR is an effective way to help you desensitize the intensity of the emotions when you think about diagnosis or the worst parts of treatment that your mind and body feel a little (or very) stuck on. It is an optional opportunity tagged onto the tail end of the retreat, which will run from 3:00 -5:00. No, there is no verbal processing, and you don’t have to decide to participate until the day of. You are in charge of your healing.

  • Caregivers will be prioritized for the Caregiver Retreats, but you are welcome to be added to the waitlist and space permitting, you will be able to join as well!

  • We always need volunteers! If you have already participated in the retreat or are a clinician willing to donate some of your time, please Reach out! Volunteers are at the heart of this ministry!
